Villa Grove has an abundance of parks in town, from the large Richman Sports Complex on the south end of town to Harrison Park in the heart of the city, to Henson Park on the East side.
The Villa Grove West Lake, commonly known as the "Reservoir" is stocked with Bass, Bluegill, and Channel Catfish. Each autumn it is also stocked with rainbow trout as part of the state's catchable trout program.
We have a fantastic summer recreation program, which includes baseball and softball for all ages, and has other activities for younger children as well.
The Richman Sports Complex has basketball courts, a skateboard park, and four full-sized baseball diamonds. There is also a ball diamond at Henson park and if you like watching ballgames over the summer, there is almost always one being played at Henson field.
Like golf? Tri-City Country Club is located on the east side of Villa Grove. Memberships are very affordable, and the clubhouse has wonderful food as well. The course is 9 holes and has water in play on almost every hole, making it quite fun and challenging.
